Each Nexium 10mg capsule contains: Esomeprazole 20mg.
Esomeprazole belongs to a class of drugs known as H2-receptors. It works by reducing acid in the stomach, thereby decreasing the amount of acid produced by the stomach. This action helps to decrease the amount of acid produced by the stomach and may also relieve symptoms of ulcers and acid reflux. Nexium 10mg capsules also help to reduce stomach acid production by 20mg.
Esomeprazole may be taken with or without food. It is best to take the medication by mouth, with or without food. The dose and frequency of use may depend on the severity of your condition, your age, the severity of your symptoms, and other medical conditions. DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
